David Irvin

David Irvin was born, raised and studied the double bass in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He and his wife Janet now live in the village of Cooperstown, New York.

After 34 years of teaching string instrumental music at Delaware Academy in Delhi, New York, Dave currently teaches double bass at the State University of New York Binghamton.

Dave’s bass was built in 1966 by Francis Shetron in Syracuse, New York using wood from Upstate Central New York.
