Steven Harmon
Principal Horn
Hailing from Santa Monica, California, Steven embarked on his horn-playing journey at the age of 12. He holds degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, the Yale School of Music, and Bard College. Steven attributes his success to his masterful horn instructors - William Purvis, Kevin Rivard, Bruce Roberts, Teag Reaves, and Dr. Annie Bosler. He is also deeply grateful for the unwavering support from his parents and grandparents throughout his musical journey.
Steven's professional career began with his debut with the San Francisco Symphony at the age of 21. He currently serves as the Principal Horn of the Symphony New Hampshire, Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, and the Reading Symphony. In addition, Steven is regularly invited to play with orchestras including the New World Symphony Orchestra, The Orchestra Now, the Albany Symphony Orchestra, the New Haven Symphony, the Portland Symphony, the Allentown Symphony, and others. When not immersed in the world of music, Steven enjoys spending time with friends, exploring the outdoors, and indulging in his pursuit of the finest coffees.
